Un jury international, composé de personnalités telles que Steven Holl, John Galliano et Pedro Almodovar, a remis en février les prix Wallpaper Design 2010 à plusieurs éditeurs et créateur de mobiliers.
Dans la catégorie "Best domestic design", le fauteuil Archibald, dessiné par Jean-Marie Massaud pour Poltrona Frau, reçu les faveurs du jury. Le fauteuil a été félicité pour son mélange de tradition, d’internationalité et d’innovation.
Cassina est reparti avec le prix de "la meilleure réédition" avec la bibliothèque Plurima de Charlotte Perriand éditée dans la collection I Maestri. Le jury a particulièrement apprécié l’alliance du design japonais et du côté fonctionnel du meuble.
Cappellini, de son côté, a obtenu le prix du "meilleur design d’intérieur" avec le cabinet Archetto d’Alessandro Mendini. Cette pièce, limitée à 33 exemplaires, a plu pour son design avancé.
Chaque année, le magazine britannique Wallpaper, qui se veut être une référence internationale dans le monde du design, de la mode et de l’art de vivre, organise les Design Awards pour récompenser les plus belles créations du design, de l’architecture, de la mode de l’année écoulée.
